About this image

This is two images of Venus I took virtually simultaneously using a 356mm SCT in my observatory and a 200mm Newtonian in my garden on a pier near the observatory. I wanted to capture the clouds but the SCT absorbs too much of the UV and it doesn't come through, so by using the Newtonian I was able to capture cloud detail even though I was using a relatively small telescope compared to recent Venus cloud images by others.
