Title

Venus in ultraviolet four days apart

About this image

This is two UV images of the clouds on Venus taken on 26th February on the left and 1st March on the right.   Both have only been possible partly with the current height and closeness of Venus and by avoiding using any additional glass in Barlows or PowerMates to take the images.   In both cases the images are stacks of the best 30% of large numbers of frames captured at 200 frames per second.  The newest image for 1st March is a stack of the best 30% of 54,000 subframes.

In four days the clouds had probably rotated back nearly to where they were before but there are clear changes in the features.
