Graze Occultation of SAO 79805

About this image

This mobile telescope observation was based on predictions in the BAAH. The location ( a 20min drive) was refined using GRAZPREP software (E Riedel).  I was 860m inside the mean limb limit and 12 contacts were predicted (12 observed). Cloud cover was slow to disperse but i was on station waiting.  It cleared 5 min before the graze commenced. The image shows the observed time points (in red and green) displayed against the limb plot produced by Occult4 (D Herald). There is good agreement.

There is a YouTube video here:    https://youtu.be/50Dh-TJXlYc

The stars are out of focus due to limited time to prepare, but this has not effected the timings. A report will appear in the Lunar Section Circular
