About this image

This is the first time I've ever used a Herschel wedge to image the Sun and I'm happy to find that the modern ones have better ways of processing the spare heat generated than the open ones I remember.    I would have preferred to use one of my other cameras as the 174 has an issue with horizontal lines in solar images, but it was the only one set up to work with my videoing software this morning.

I also had probably the shortest window you could possibly imagine - the Sun only cleared local obstructions for 25minutes today and even then it was through hazy cloud the whole time.  By the time I had sorted out the camera (and after a quick visual look) I had just five minutes to capture some images.
