About this image

The Great Conjunction is unfortunately happening where none of my observatory or other pier kit can see it.     With the unexpected clear spell early this evening I carted my 80mm scope to a bedroom upstairs and attached it to a camera tripod.   It was a little difficult to steer and the target didn't help by being among tree branches despite the elevation.  This is a stack from my best video - I've suppressed Jupiter and enhanced Saturn in post-processing.   It isn't as good as being able to track it and it was still too light to pick up the Galilean moons but at least I managed a shot of the planets!
