About this image

This well known pairing sits well in the field of view of the CMOS camera. There is little drift in 15sec - i dont have autoguiding set up.  Camera details: offset 150, gain 260 (55%), no binning, TEC -15C, ambient 3C.   I subtract darks because this removes most of the uneven streaky background i experience.  It could be i dont allow long enough for the TEC to equlibrate the detector.  I see Peter Tickner uploaded a nice shot in colour of the same pair of galaxies.
