About this image

Moon beyond first quarter and high towards zenith on the night. Clear and stable during capture (60s). No filter applied. From the bottom (South pole) upwards, we pass through Clavius and on to Tycho with rays spreading off to the East. Finally we arrive at the Mare Nubium.
