Title

Hidden gems in Canes Venatici

About this image

Canes Venatici is known for its spectacular galaxies such as M51, M63, M94 and M106 as well as a host of NGC galaxies.   One perhaps hidden gem is the collection of galaxies around magnitude 6.5 star HD 121197, itself a bright yellow star not far from a magnitude 9 blue star, making a nice contrast in the field of view.
