About this image

My first look at this 'bright' supernova in a really nice galaxy.  See also recent images by Tim Haymes, David Swan, Stewart Bean and Ivan Walton. More details are on the Forum post for this supernova.

Field 12 x 12 arc minutes with north up.  150% original image size.

Update 15th April:

Image annotated with the position of cataclysmic variable CP Dra.  A BAAJ article on this object by J. Shears et.al. was published in 2010. CP Dra can approach mag 14 at maximum so it is clearly not currently in outburst!
