SN 2021rhu in NGC7814

About this image

A bright eruption in an edge-on galaxy with pronounced dark lanes. A classic if i might say so where the SN burns as bright as the host (or so it seems in the photo). The inset image was taken in 2014.

Following a TA alert the sky cleared for a short while. So not much time to get a decent image.  Astrometrica gives G=12.9 (Star + host).  The galaxy at the time was as Alt/Az 20/90, near gamma Peg.
