About this image

This was my brightest event of the night, blazing past Altair. Such meteors are processed by RMS' fireball detector, meaning they don't appear in the 'standard' meteor composite images and the user has to check for bright events in their FR files and process them manually. Here's the extracted images combined into an animation (at reduced speed for clarity).

I haven't completed the laborious manual process to analyse this event, so I've provisionally categorised it as a Perseid. If it had been recorded on one of my UFO Capture cameras the task would've been much easier.
