About this image

Good weather over a few days gave me the opportunity to observe and sketch the rapidly changing prominences associated with new active regions AR2993 and AR2994 as they were about to rotate onto the Sun's disk. The sketches are mirror image (view sketched 'as seen') as I was using a mirror diagonal in the optical train.
