The 80 km diameter asteroid (1754) Cunningham, mag 16.2, occulted a mag 10.7 star in Virgo for 2.91 s. (Maximum predicted duration was 5.9 s for an observer on the centre line).

Eight observers across Europe attempted to record this event, but five were clouded out. Three timed chords across the asteroid were obtained and they are a good fit to the DAMIT shape model
