The ~7.5 km diameter asteroid (66803) 1999 TD273, mag 17.7, occulted a mag 11 star in Delphinus for 0.14 s. (Maximum predicted duration was 0.45 s for an observer on the centre line).

Such a small asteroid makes it difficult to obtain multiple chords across the object. This single chord should give high-precision astrometry for the instant of occultation.

Nice catch Alex. This looks like the shortest duration asteroid event recorded from the UK.  I checked back to 2015

Hi Tim,

I'm sure our team will obtain some successful events briefer than 0.1 s; just need to be fortunate with a bright target star to allow us to use fast frame rates to confirm the occultation.
