About this image

I've had mostly clear skies during the Geminid maximum so my RMS and UFO Capture cameras have recorded hundreds of meteors, including Comae Berenicids, alpha Hydrids, December Leonis Minorids, Monocerotids etc adding to the Geminid display.

This Geminid reached a peak apparent mag. of -3 as it swept past 'W' Cas.

Following their characteristic activity profile, Geminid rates are now falling away to sporadic levels.
