About this image

Hale-Bopp it ain't.

I knew this wouldn't be a comet with an eye-blasting coma or glorious tail(s), but thought I would image it anyway.

Its a comet that behaves like an asteroid most the time - asteroid 4015, an Apollo asteroid in fact. So, no surprise to see that when I stacked images based on the motion of the comet, there was no apparent tail or even a coma - it would have been news if there had been.

Still fun to have tracked it down though.

Its about mag 17.

Comets, even ones masquerading as asteroids are never dull!
