About this image

Despite the bright moon this comet shows a lot of detail and I get a total magnitude of 5.0 now with a huge coma diameter of 40 arcmin. For fun I took an image of the telescopes taking an image of the comet which you can see here. The comet is the small, fuzzy, object near the top of the frame.

This image was taken using the small telescope on the left. The large telescope has a relatively small field of view so is not ideal for this comet at the moment.

I had a good look in binoculars and the comet was very easy to find despite the bright moonlight. It is not often that we get a bright (ish) comet this high in the sky so enjoy it while you can!
