About this image

I was not prepared for the faintness.  It was not visible to the eye, only the camera.  The Aurora Watch activity histogram was the alert, and some emails.
This is a 4 frame jpg, stacked in DSS, de-noised, and then saturation added.  So its artistic, rather then scientific. The last one i saw in the UK was in 2001.  There are some artifacts caused by lighting from other sources (moon, streetlight..).  We are at LAT 51.9 North.  It clouded over soon after, so i was lucky to catch this glimpse.
