About this image

The object has faded by about 0.4 mag (unfiltered) since 2023-08-06.  Now 13.7 R.    Dark and flat corrected, measured in Astrometrica (UCAC4). Still not sure what this ZTF discovery is.   Anyone know?

Hi Tim,

It is a dwarf nova. (WZ Sge)

http://ooruri.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp/mailman3/hyperkitty/list/vsnet-alert@ooruri.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp/thread/26IEDCYY5BKWH57W4JQLJK5SCK7UYJPG/

Here is my spectrum taken last night showing narrow H alpha emission and other Balmer lines in broad absorption, typical of a dwarf nova outburst

https://britastro.org/specdb/data_graph.php?obs_id=14306

Actually the  although the ZTF detection date is earlier they did not make this public on TNS for several days so I would say the discoverers would officially be according the report on TOCP
