About this image

I am not a regular imager of the Moon by any means but last night I gave it a go and I am pleasantly surprised with the results.

This is a crop of a larger image obtained at the f/5 prime focus of my 358mm Newtonian. It is therefore somewhat undersampled.

In the centre of the image is Rima Hyginus. The crater towards upper right is Triesnecker (26km) with it's associated rimae. At bottom left is the terraced crater Manilius (39km) and at upper left the semi-ruined crater Boscovich (46km).
