About this image

This rarely imaged Planetary nebula is very faint and small in size, only about 3 light years in diameter. Located in the constellation of Lynx.

It is approx. 1,600 light years away, so not far away really or should I say, not very old, as its central Blue (White dwarf) star exploded about 1,600 yrs ago….

My image was captured over 4 nights during Jan this year, just over 16hrs Integration time.

Processing software: Stacking in DSS then PixInsight.

Clear skies all.
