About this image

NGC 6914 is a complex of reflection nebulae in Cygnus with a unique spectacular look.

Ultraviolet radiation from stars in the Cygnus OB2 association (some of the most massive and most luminous stars known) ionize the nebula's hydrogen. The field is rich with red emission glow of ionised hydrogen and dark, dense cosmic clouds.
