About this image

The night of 22-23 December started badly, strongly gusting winds and atrocious 'seeing' making it impossible to pick out the transit of Titan's shadow across Saturn earlier in the evening. My first images of Mars just after midnight weren't much better either but from around 2am everything calmed down and for the next hour or so conditions improved before deteriorating again.
