About this image

The long ion tail of C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) stretches out of the frame of this 3 x 2 deg image. This camera is aligned with my main telescope (which took this sequence of the billowing tail at the same time) so the coma has to be in the centre of field. Otherwise I would have offset it to the lower left.

My estimate for the current total magnitude is 7.7. What will the comet look like when it is at its best in late October?
