Taken just as the moon was about to disappear behind my neighbour's roof and just as the sky was getting bright with dawn. I've been watching this eclipse while taking images and it has been beautiful with the moon in a very clear, transparent sky after torrential rain yesterday. I can still see the eclipse from an upstairs window.

The star to the left of the moon is SAO 165042, magnitude 7.

A total lunar eclipse 16 days after a very successful total solar eclipse.

It was completely clouded our where we were!
