"We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars" - Oscar Wilde.

My little 'gutter' consists of a wife, 5 children, 1 Triumph motorbike, a Fender bass, an NUFC season ticket and an Astro observatory.

I have various Electrical & Mechanical HNC quals from the prehistoric era and a more recent Astronomy & Astrophysics degree with the OU.

I have a keen interest in Dwarf Novae and conduct CCD photometry on targets of opportunity as posted on the alert websites.

I was recently awarded a BAA Ridley grant to assist in the purchase of an ALPY600 spectroscope and I'm now taking spectra of anything that moves (and a few things that don't).
