My Watec 902H2 S camera (6 mm lens) picked up this (almost bolide?) event last night, low down in the south west sky as viewed from my Loughborough location. Software estimated brightness was magnitude -6.3. It exploded and split into two bright fragments.
I didn’t catch it on my cameras, but that’s expected because our fields don’t overlap. I’ve asked the NEMETODE group if any other stations recorded it.
a nice capture. I’ve just acquired similar equipment with the help of William Stewart and I’m in the process of setting it up. I Just need to get a nice focus, and settings but the weather is against me at the moment.
Thanks. William built and tested my equipment. With William’s expert help, you should have no problem. Wishing you all the best for your first fireball capture.
