Over the last week or so, white light activity on the Sun has increased with more groups appearing, even though these have been relatively small and without any significant penumbral sunspots. A further increase was noted today, Saturday 24th April, with five groups visible – see drawing below. The most complex group, in the south-east quadrant, has appeared in the last day – it will be interesting to see how this group develops in the coming days.
