I captured a nice spectrum a couple of night ago. When I processed the spectrum it looked kind of familiar. After having a look through my collection of spectrum I found it was indeed almost identical to a spectrum I caught of a suspected Southern Taurid fireball.
I’ve re-worked the 2015 spectrum to get the same span as the 2020 one.
The colourised versions show the similarities better I think….
The colourised ones are slightly misaligned but you get the idea!
Many meteors have broadly similar characteristic but these two are the closest I have seen over the years. Perhaps both are from the same parent body….
