Hello all,There was an auroral display seen here last night from around 21:00 UT (Jan 13) from Tarbatness in Highland Scotland. First seen as a a bright green arc on the northern horizon then developing with bright rays (red and green) with some pulsations and curtaining. The display then subsided at about 23:00 UT but a glow still persisted at 02:00 UT when I finished my comet imaging run. This was the first display seen since October 2012. Let us hope that there will be many more displays of this magnificent phenomena this winter. I attach an image form last night taken with a Canon 400d 14mm f2/8 Samyang lens 27s exposure at ISO 1600.Denis Buczynski
