By pure chance I saw an historical observatory mentioned this morning (16 February 2025) on BBC 2.
The series is ‘Weatherman Walking’ and the episode is series 12, number 7. It should available for about a month (you may need a BBC account to view it?). The private observatory at Penlle’rgaer near Swansea belonged to John Dillwyn Llewelyn (1810-1882) where he was assisted in photographing the Moon by his daughter Thereza Llewelyn (1834-1926) and is
