Probably more Deep Sky rather than Variable Star but I thought it might be of interest here. Normally around mag 19, 4C+27.5 is currently very bright. Variable day to day but recently up to R mag 13.7. Rather impressive for something with a redshift of 1.25. Here is the light curve in ALeRCE ZTF Explorer
