Replacement 2nd hand PC running Win7, MaximDL won’t connect to my Atik460.
I have installed Ascom 6, Atik core software from website.
Says ‘error connecting to camera’.
What have I missed?

I would also check in Device Manager, the status of the USB controllers. There should be no errors shown

Are you using a USB hub? If so then try plugging camera directly into the computer,possibility Maxim doesn’t recognise the hub.

And vice versa, in my experience. Over-long USB cables can give connection problems which are sometimes solved by using a powered hub.

Yes I have but will revisit.
Atik works with other computers could be a software problem.

To home in on the source of the problem I would check the following
Is the camera installed correctly ? As Tim said, check the Device Manager the camera should be listed under USB somewhere and should report that it is working properly. If not try reinstalling the driver
Once it is installed correctly, try the ATIK capture software. If it is working there then the problem lies with MAXIM DL somewhere.

Tried reinstalling old driver as per Atik website instructions.
Camera still not connecting.

Success, I reinstalled older legacy and latest Ascom software from Atik website, keeping the camera plugged in, clicked on connect off it went phew !
I am running an older version of Maxim.

No that is from latest download from Atik web page. Glad you got the camera to work.
