I became interested in the stars from the age of about eight while visiting my grandparents near Bosham, Sussex. (dark sky). In my teens i joined the JAS (SPA), observing the Sun by projection, and timing lunar occultations with a stopwatch. When I joined the BAA I started visual observations of possible asteroidal occultations. The European Asteroidal Occultation Network (EAON) based in Belgium then provided more detailed predictions. My first successful video observation was of Titan on 1989 Jul 3 when the moon occulted 28 Sgr. It then was another 21 years before the second ! I have now reach 100 positive asteroid observations. http://www.stargazer.me.uk/asteroids/asteroids.htm
