Today’s DT carried a photo of "Britains light show" taken from the ISS, a photo which shows the aurorae above Britain. But it also shows the light from our major cities. I have written a letter to the DT Editor pointing out the massive waste of energy and money involved in producing light which ends up heading into space, rather than where it’s required. I also noted the fact that only the brightest stars can be seen from our major cities, depriving people of the enjoyment of the night sky.I wonder if it will be published.Go well!Jeremy
