Robert Garfinkle’s new book Luna Cognita arrived today just in time for the weekend.
These are superb books which cover the history of observation, lunar folklore, observing techniques and detailed chapters on each day of the phases over Volumes 1 and 2. Volume 3 has a large number of data tables, a moon atlas and extensive bibliography and index. I received mine this week – I ordered direct from Springer (publisher) and they arrived in just 3 days from their distribution centre in Germany. There’s a 10% Springer discount code you can use too.
