Hi Bill,

I haven’t been able to contact you by email (tried ‘b.ward@elec.gla.ac.uk’ but no reply) so hope this reaches you.

My local society, Hampshire Astronomical Group, has been operating meteor cameras for some time and is now considering fitting a grating to one of the cameras to obtain meteor spectra.

Although my main interest is comets I have been obtaining stellar spectra with the Sierra Stars Observatory Network’s TGS for a few months now and processing them with Vspec. I have offered to try my hand with the meteor spectra as and when that project comes to fruition.

I would very much appreciate it if you could please;
– point me in the right direction as to how to get started in this venture
– possibly let me have a few images to practice on
