Petition to Introduce legislation to combat light pollution

There is currently a petition running on the UK Governments petition web site to combat light pollution. It currently has 2,950 signatures but only has 2 months left to run and needs 10,000 signatures for a government response. I urge all BAA members to sign it. If we can’t get fellow astronomers to support such a petition there’s no hope for our skies. It can be found here:
