Hello I finally managed to get out last night, for the first time in ages, and do some observing, (mainly Jupiter) but couldn’t resist grabbing a quick photo of the moon. Taken using a Nikon D800 DSLR, Sigma 150-500mm lens at 500mm, ISO400, f/8 1/500, handheld. Comments and criticisms welcomed. Many thanks
Hi David,I’m the same – I especially like to snap the thin crescent Moon to bring out the earthshine if it is in the sky at the start of an observing session. The image I took last Saturday is still on the observatory computer – will have to transfer it next time I power up the system.Richard
