Many youngsters who grew up in the 1960s and 1970s were equally fascinated by manned spaceflight as much as astronomy. Before attending last Saturday’s BAA Christmas meeting I went to see:

The Moonwalkers: A Journey With Tom Hanks – which is an audio-visual homage to the Apollo Moon-landing missions, presented in The Lightroom, just a few minutes’ walk from King’s Cross station. The audience is treated to high-quality remastered Apollo images projected onto the walls and floor. Being encircled by Hadley Rille landing site was quite an experience.

Each show starts on the hour and runs for about 55 minutes. I watched it from the balcony, then stayed to see it again (seated) on the floor level. Phone pics and short videos for personal use are allowed.

    Alex.
