This ArXiv fascinating paper today considers whether the number of galaxies within a galaxy group or cluster is more likely to be odd or even. The authors’ analysis indicates that the universe favours odd numbers, with results achieving a significance level well above the 4.1−σ threshold.

There are some equally significant papers on ArXiv today, some published in the august Acta Prima Aprilia, e.g. https://arxiv.org/abs/2503.23614

Haha. (Apart from this) I haven’t seen much April Fool’s Day content across the media. Serious times, I guess. David

Almost forgotten the date! Really glad that April 1 didn’t totally pass me by.

    Thanks Jeremy

How would we know the difference from other days? There’s enough fake news swilling around as it is.
