As a curtain raiser to tomorrow’s (2025 January 04) lunar occultation of Saturn here is this evening’s (2025 January 03) lunar conjunction with Venus.
No sophisticated astronomical equipment was used to capture this image, just a smartphone and an open upstairs window.
