Someone on an amateur astronomy Facebook group has asked what this is, apparently it came with a second hand telescope. Does anyone have any ideas what it could have been used for?

I would guess this is an attachment to facilitate afocal photography? The two eyepiece clamps are placed differently with respect to the camera screw to allow different set-ups.
