Jeremy RundleParticipantThanks both appreciated moon phase cal is great
Jeremy RundleParticipantBecause I am NOT into imaging, and I don’t want 2Mp or less, I decided last Friday to get this
As a professional sports photographer I am lucky that I have a number of, lets say, high end Nikons to use if I need them, but I did want a camera for occasional astro use and this at 6Mp, WITH a lens that allows all sky shots, and is mono fits what i want perfectly.
Thanks for the reply
Jeremy RundleParticipantDone, appreciated
Jeremy RundleParticipantJeremy RundleParticipantYes thanks one of many I saw, I have come back to Imaging, had a PST years ago, sold it and re bought, I did image before, in fact Patrick Moore was a good friend of mine and used two of my images, I did use a Starlight Express camera (I was told they would not work but it did), I have been told that the fact that a DSLR has a IR blocking filter is a problem and I should use a solar camera (I have a Celestron NexImage 5) will be better.
What you see is an Astro Imageing Magnimax, on the camera.
Thank you for taking the time to reply

31 January 2018 at 6:08 pm in reply to: Why are PST and other solar scopes still so expensive. #579030Jeremy RundleParticipantWhat also annoys me is that 20% VAT, I can import one from the US INCLUDING import duty, VAT and postage for £200 less than I can buy one in the UK
