ParticipantBecause I am NOT into imaging, and I don’t want 2Mp or less, I decided last Friday to get this
As a professional sports photographer I am lucky that I have a number of, lets say, high end Nikons to use if I need them, but I did want a camera for occasional astro use and this at 6Mp, WITH a lens that allows all sky shots, and is mono fits what i want perfectly.
Thanks for the reply

ParticipantYes thanks one of many I saw, I have come back to Imaging, had a PST years ago, sold it and re bought, I did image before, in fact Patrick Moore was a good friend of mine and used two of my images, I did use a Starlight Express camera (I was told they would not work but it did), I have been told that the fact that a DSLR has a IR blocking filter is a problem and I should use a solar camera (I have a Celestron NexImage 5) will be better.
What you see is an Astro Imageing Magnimax, on the camera.
Thank you for taking the time to reply

ParticipantWhat also annoys me is that 20% VAT, I can import one from the US INCLUDING import duty, VAT and postage for £200 less than I can buy one in the UK
