I've been interested in astronomy since my teens in the 1980's. My main pursuit is astrophotography including planetary and deep sky, mainly for the simple (well, not always simple) pleasure of creating images of beautiful objects. I mainly image in narrowband as my suburban skies are somewhat light polluted. But I do enjoy the challenge of narrow field imaging of galaxies. I've recently retired which has given me more time to expand my hobby and I'm interested in taking up practical radio astronomy.
