The IMO Fireball listing for the UK for that date and time has not flagged anything yet on the list or ‘pending’. Video cameras of the NEMATODE network will have been active so one or more of the stations may well have picked the event up.
Following from #7 I would suggest you try 365Astronomy http://www.365astronomy.com/optical-accessories-other-accessories-c-4_29.html on this link and search thumb screws. A short chat on the phone may help as he has a good reputation. I bought my ASI120MM from him. Again I hope it is a help.
Sorry you have received no reply from the States. I thought that they may have been at NEAF http://www.rocklandastronomy.com/NEAF/Index.html but they do not seem to be on the vendors list.
Looking in my Metal.plastic and Motors file you could try this UK supplier , particularly their Nylon Screws http://www.modelfixings.co.uk/nylon_screws.htm
Hope you can find something that fits (they do small quantities). It could be metric or UNC threaded.
I can suggest trying http://www.scopestuff.com/index.html in the States (initially by an email question).They have a minimum order charge of $10 but a fantastic range of bits & bobs to add to make up a purchase.Hope this helps.
