I am 70 years old and have been a Member for over 50 years. I have been an Electronics Engineer but am now retired. I still do some electronics as a hobby, eg. Arduino. I attended the Truro eclipse event of August 1999 and a recent Winchester Weekend but have not done active observing for a long time. I hope to participate more now and attend some Meetings. I have several small telescopes, the largest being a 10" Newtonian. I am based in Surrey. Long ago I made an 8.5 inch mirror (see photo). I am interested in using a digital camera plus large lens to monitor the sky on a long-term basis. I might be able to then share the images to the Web in semi-real time.
