I started observing under Middlesex skies with a small reflecting telescope in 1997. Like many others I upgraded to a Meade SCT LX200 Classic 250mm over twenty years ago. This remains my main telescope. It's now permanently mounted in my roll-off roof observatory in the Scottish Lowlands where I now live. I'm learning wide field deep sky imaging in narrowband through my 60mm Takahashi refractor piggy backed on the SCT and hope to become more proficient with galaxies using the 250mm. While I am keen on astro-imaging I enjoy visual which is feasible from my semi-rural location. I'm hoping to do more solar viewing and imaging this summer with a Lunt 50 acquired last year.
