I started observing under Middlesex skies with a small reflecting telescope in 1997. I upgraded to a Meade SCT LX200 Classic 250mm over twenty years ago. This remains my main telescope - with a 60mm Takahashi refractor piggy-backing. It's now permanently mounted in my roll-off roof observatory in the Scottish Lowlands where I now live. I'm learning wide field deep sky imaging in narrowband through my 60mm Takahashi refractor and hope to become more proficient with galaxies using the 250mm. While I am keen on astro-imaging I enjoy visual which is feasible from my semi-rural location. I'm hoping to do more solar viewing and imaging this summer with a Lunt 50 acquired last year. This winter I've been concentrating on imaging Jupiter and Mars.
