I started observing under Middlesex skies with a small reflecting telescope in 1997. Like many others I upgraded to a Meade SCT LX200 Classic 250mm over twenty years ago. This remains my main telescope. It's now permanently mounted in my roll-off roof observatory in the Scottish Lowlands where I now live. I'm learning field deep sky imaging through a 60mm refractor piggy backed on the SCT and hope succeed with galaxies through the 250mm in due course. While I am keen on astro-imaging I enjoy visual which is feasible from my semi-rural location. I'm hoping to do solar viewing and imaging this summer.
