I missed this 7m model from the Bristol artist when I lived in the west country.
Will pop for a look later this month when it’s not so stormy.

Hi James, I attended an event at Rochester Cathedral last night along with 7 other miscreants from Crayford MHASD.  Mid Kent AS put on an excellent talk in the crypt of the Cathedral on the Apollo 11 Moon landing by one of their esteemed members, Prof David Rees, with an anthology of rarely seen video extracts of various Apollo missions, not just Apollo 11, and of the people that he had worked with at NASA at that time.  Very interesting.  I attach a photo of the Moon with a bunch of extremely enthused boy scouts underneath, sketching away to their hearts content!   Great fun.

Thanks, James. I’m hoping to see this when it comes to Oldham (not too far from where I live) later this week.

Impressive size, detail and setting of the 7m installation. The assistants had been reasonably briefed for answers.
The nave was bustling, especially with families. I was told (without asking) at 10,000 visitors had seen this moon.
I said that was impressive and the lady said that’s just in one day! Typically 8-10k each day!!
